The Aligning Science Across Parkinson’s (ASAP) initiative is on a mission to accelerate the pace of discovery and inform the path to a cure for Parkinson’s disease (PD) through collaboration, generation of research-enabling resources, and data-sharing. The ASAP initiative provides funding opportunities to the scientific community. Learn more about current ASAP funding opportunities below.
Collaborative Research Network (CRN) 2025 Opportunities
ASAP is announcing two open competitive funding opportunities for the research community. These grants will provide additional capital to spur discovery for Parkinson’s disease (PD) research.
Funding Tracks
ASAP will support higher-risk, large-scale, ambitious projects across two tracks.
Scientific Track: Focus on supporting high-priority projects to dissect the mechanisms that contribute to PD heterogeneity. Click here to learn more.
Technical Track: Focus on the development of novel, sustainable tools to accelerate validation and therapeutic R&D for emerging targets and mechanisms identified from ASAP discoveries. Click here to learn more.
Funded teams will join the ASAP Collaborative Research Network, an international, multidisciplinary, and multi-institutional network of collaborating investigators who are working to address high-priority research questions in an effort to accelerate the pace of discovery for PD and drive new ideas into the R&D pipeline.
ASAP works works with The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research to implement the award process.
